Don`t be too alarmed by the letter, it was no big surprise bearing in mind Volkhard and his team have now moved on to greener pastures and best of luck to him in his new venture.
But the main thing is we as clients stick together and swap ideas and problems etc. If there`s any common area that needs attention from Davinci in the future such as painting /plastering/carpentry ,whatever, we can pressurise them to come over and do all the houses together. The main thing is we stick together and any items of common concern we email them with all clients as signatories.

Thank you Noel to mention the letter. The last view days my phone didn't stop ring till late night. I got so much support from all of our Davinci Clients - and honestly -it did very well to me! We will still take all your phone calls, what ever you have to say... you also getting me under volkhard@germanpassivehouses.ie

I have just had an e mail from Hassan and he advises that someone from Davinci will be coming to us next week, to finally sort out some of the outstanding items on our 'snag list'. So if anyone needs anything done suggest you contact Hassan now.
ReplyDeleteWe ae concerned aout boiler maintenance as, despite being advised that Herr Hummer is due a visit, we have waited 4 months for this. Volkhard recommended Precision Heating in Dublin but they don't exactly see themselves as 'preferred agents' or anything and seem to farm out the work. The issue would be if there is a problem caused by a service company and Davinci then abdicate any responsibility.
ReplyDeleteWe are disappointed that Volkhard's team have opted out of the Davinci scene but for many months now we have been seeking final snag list completion from the German team which has not visited (house built 14 months ago and still unresolved snags). Also poor communication. We also found the tone of 'the letter' unconstructive - Our problems with lack of feedback have been mostly on the German side. ALSO - We are concerned re boiler maintenace - we understood Herr Hummer was going to call on us and carry out a service (4 months ago). Precision Heating don't exactly promote themselves as 'Davinci agents'. They seem to farm out the work. The issue is if there is no 'preferred' service supplier will Davinci abdicate responsibility if problems arise from boiler servicing.

ReplyDeleteMary and I concur with you that Volkhards move to greener pastures is Davinci's loss. As we always found him honest, intelligent and with unbelieveable integrity. We are delighted that he still lives in Ireland!

We are extremely concerned regarding a total lack of communication from Hassan and Sascha. We have a large list of jobs to be completed and we have NOT signed the acceptance protocol. Are Daviinci a solvent company anymore? I suspect I made a very significant mistake building a Davinci house. I feel we need to amalgate our job lists and apply serious pressure.
ReplyDeleteHelmut Huemmer visited us last week with some filters and he says he is putting togetger a package for boiler maintenance for the Irish clients and will be in touch in the Autumn with a view to coming over and doing all the houses here. He says the boilers only need a service every 2 years in reality.
ReplyDeleteHelmut also came to us last Friday and finally replaced the flush system in our en suite bathroom and also serviced our boiler. We also had a visit from Bertram,last Thursday unfortunately while I was not here, as I had a number of queries for him, but he fixed the third of our clacking extractor fans and also a door handle. I have since e mailed both Hassan and Sascha - and guess what no reply!
